Getting cows from the pasture. Our quad makes this job much easier. As soon as the cows hear the noise of this quad they already move to the fence.

Mowing from another angle, this mower has a conditioner that way the grass dries faster and keeps better quality.

Tedding the grass, with a tedder you basically spread the grass and turn it over. that way it dries much faster.

As you can see all the grass is windrowed. These lines are much easier to pick up with the loader wagon.

The loader wagon pick up the windrows of grass and transports them from the field to the farm.

After being milked they get feed some corn silage, which combines great with protein rich grass.

Loading from a closer angle the tractor drives over the windrows made by the rake and the wagon loads them.

Now the loader wagon is filled and the grass is ready to be stored for later use.

The combine is dumping the last load of wheat onto the truck. This was the last field for the year.

The milking starts
The loader wagon drives to the farm where the grass gets stored in a pit this is called ensilage. The tractor on top of it is packing the grass to  get all air out of the pile.
This is the divice that collects the milk.

The packing is very important that’s why 2 machines are used to ensure feed quality. The yellow roller in front is used to spread the grass evenly on the pit.

This is the machine that mixes chunks of beef and fat into ground up beef which can be packaged and sold, depending on the fat content.

The different cuts of meat, at our local locker, then go into individual coolers which contain what a person orders.

There is another way to clean the ditch.
The name of the machine is: de hemos.

At the back of the machine the reed, mud and water is ground up and spread across the land.
The ‘woudegemaal’. This old pumping station was build to protect our land from flooding. They have some of the best maintained working steam engines.
There are eight pumping units with a total capacity of 4000m3 water each minute. Which makes this the biggest working steam powered pumping unit in the world.
